The comfortable elastic lace is 1.75" (approx. 4.5cm) wide for the upper garter and 0.8" (approx. 2cm) wide for the toss garter, and gently stretches to fit a thigh circumference of up to 18" (approx. 45.7cm), ensuring a secure yet comfortable fit throughout your celebration. For extra hold, you may use clothing tape (also called fashion tape) to keep the garter perfectly in place and prevent any slipping.
HOW TO MEASURE to ensure proper fit: While standing, measure your thigh where you would like to wear the garter. We generally recommend that brides wear it just above their knee, 4-5" (approx. 10-13cm) above the knee cap. If you wear it too high it will rub on your other leg, if too low, it might slip down. You also have to think about how high you want to raise your dress for your wedding photographer and potentially wedding guests (if you choose to do the traditional garter toss). It is very important to measure your leg while standing to make sure it fits when you walk around.
